Immunogrow
ImmunoGrow (IG) serves as a functional feed ingredient in the diet of shrimp and other animals by enhancing growth performance, immunological response and survivability. Proper nutrition plays a critical role in maintaining the normal growth and health of agricultured fish.
Deficiencies of nutrients, especially amino acids, proteins, certain vitamins and minerals, compromise diseases resistance, optimal growth and general health because various immunological factors are specific proteins or protein-catalyzed products.
In addition, adequate levels of micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals should be supplied in diets to support optimal growth. Nutrients involved in antioxidative defense mechanisms, including vitamins C and E, and minerals like selenium, chromium, zinc, and copper are important in protecting the immunological cells such as macrophages and lymphocytes from oxidative stress.
Most of the immunostimulatory compounds enhance the nonspecific immune responses considered to be the first line of defense against invading organisms. The responses of macrophages-cell migration, phagocytosis and bactericidal activity- as well as changes in leukocyte numbers, release of oxidative radicals and enzymes are often used to assess nonspecific immunity.
ImmunoGrow (IG) is natural, safe, and can be used in crumbled, extruded or pelleted feeds. Active components include: Dried Yeast, Dairy whey, Dried Aspergillus sp. Fermentation extract, Citric acid fermentation product, Yeast extract. Rich source of essential amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins.
